Different POV
Write a scene from the novel in the perspective of a different character. For instance, construct the Christmas scene fight between Francis and Scout from the perspective of Jem or Atticus, Feel free to be as creative as possible and don't be afraid to change a few details to reconstruct a different scene.

A Few Nights Before the Trial
ReplyDeleteThe kids are finally asleep. Alexandra has put them to bed while I try to have some peace before the real fight begins. In just a few days my family’s strength will be put to the test because of a choice I was forced to make. It was not up to me to subject them to the cruelty of others because of my beliefs. Defending Tom Robinson is a task I must do because no else would do it. Judge Taylor came to me because he believed in me. I don’t know what he sees, but there must be something in me that he knows will help Tom. I know how this town operates. The bigotry my family will face is something I do not want to contemplate under this pale moon. For now I will sit and swing in darkness wondering where this journey will take my family.
